Bombora, Surfing the Intent-Data Wave, Names a President
Mark Connon, a former COO of TapAd and an executive at Experian, offers a B2B power player considerable operational knowledge.
Mark Connon, a veteran of the ad-tech industry, has been named the company’s first president. Bombora is the top supplier of B2B Intent data solutions, the company said. Connon assumes leadership as Bombora strengthens its position as the industry pioneer in B2B Intent Data.
Connon served as TapAd’s Chief Operating Officer before Experian purchased it in 2020, making him TapAd’s General Manager and Experian Marketing Services’ EVP of Product and Marketing. Connon oversaw mobile advertising and data strategy as well as enterprise-wide data commercialization as the former SVP, Global Chief Mobile and Data Officer at AOL (a Verizon company formerly known as Verizon Media Services). He has held multiple C-level positions at both public and private marketing and advertising firms and is currently an advisor or board member for several businesses in the ad/martech sector. Connon will start leading Bombora’s Sales, Marketing, and Customer Experience operations right away, drawing on his broad operating experience and sector knowledge.
“Mark’s operating experience – and deep understanding of the value of data – makes him an excellent fit to help drive Bombora into the future”, “By harmonizing our internal processes, he will help us realize our vision of a world in which business buyers value sales and marketing for its relevance, timeliness, and accuracy.”
Erik Matlick, CEO and co-founder, Bombora
Bombora’s sustainable AI-powered Company Surge® Intent signals are being used by more and more companies because, unlike some of its rivals, they are based on fully-consented visitor data from the members of its exclusive data cooperative, which includes publishers, marketers, agencies, technology providers, research firms, and events companies. Despite challenges in the advertising industry, Bombora has managed to develop significantly, and its exclusive publisher co-op model puts it well for the future.
“As the B2B market grows, Bombora continues to revolutionize the way businesses market and sell to others through transparent data built on an ecosystem of quality, collaboration, and innovation”, “There’s an amazing opportunity here to accelerate Bombora’s growth, and I look forward to extending Bombora’s lead.”
