Stage TEN and Shopify announce the introduction of live video shopping in the consumer-facing Shop app of Shopify, providing businesses with a potent new means of connecting with customers for in-the-moment, conversational commerce experiences.
For Shopify’s new “Shop Minis” initiative, where best-in-class technologies can expand functionality straight into the Shop app environment, Stage TEN was chosen as the live video commerce alpha partner. Currently, the integration is the only way for retailers to create a live video commerce channel in Shop and connect with their enormous network of engaged customers.
For live stream retailers and merchants, Stage TEN’s Shop Live channels give them access to a ready-made audience network of consumers. Stage TEN’s Shop Live channels open the door to a $1.2 trillion global live commerce sector, with live shopping expected to account for 20% of all ecommerce sales by 2026.
The Shop app now makes it available to a global community of interested customers who can tune-in, communicate with merchants in real time, and check out right on screen, directly in the Shop app, when a merchant goes live with Stage TEN’s Live Creator Suite.

Social commerce is entirely different from the Stage TEN Shop Mini. When you stream to social media, it streams slowly, and viewers typically have to leave the content to make purchases. Real-time purchases can be done in the player on the merchant’s channel thanks to Stage TEN’s integration with the Shop app.
